ACME WoF - Episode 8

Alvin: Reruns are over!  It's time now to start the second half of the season of ACME Wheel! Just remember to watch in a brightly-lit room, and don't sit too close to the monitor. Second half here we come!

[Showtime!]

Audience: WHEEL...OF...FORTUNE!!!

[Cheers and applause]

Hunter: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars in cash!

Alvin: And now from the ACME Studios, here are the stars of our show, Jonathan Mann...!

Jon: [enters HQ] OH YEAH!!!

Hunter: And iKing!

iKing: [enters HQ] YEAH!!!

Jon: Boy are we glad you're back like we promised ya. You heard what Alvin said, reruns are over! I hope you enjoyed watching all those holiday classics, and reruns of the first half of the season. Now it's back to all new episodes of the show.

iKing: Yes, Jon. All new puzzles, all new contestants, all new cash. The second half of the season is gonna start with a bang.

Jon: Indeed, iKing. We need three contestants who will be vying their way towards solving puzzles and winning some C-A-S-H. We're gonna meet them right now. Hunter and Alvin?

Hunter: Our first contestant enjoys writing stories, and hopes to go to Vegas someday. From the Bronx, meet Hannah Gelman.

Alvin: He enjoys playing football, basketball, and baseball and hopes to be a star in one of their major sports leauges. From Allentown, Pennsylvania, say hello to Paul Wrice.

Hunter: She's into volunteering for dogs at the humane society and hopes to own a dog training school one day. From Staten Island, meet Anne-Marie Barsi!

[Applause]

Jon: Contestants, you know how the game is played, but let me explain for those of you who may now know.

There’s hundreds of dollars in cash waiting to be won. You spin the wheel, guess a letter. If that letter’s in the puzzle, the money will be added to your bank. Guess a letter that's not in the puzzle, you lose your turn. If you solve the puzzle, the money is banked to your total. But be careful of those two black and white spaces. Lose a Turn – which means you land on that, your turn is over automatically. And finally, the Bankrupt.

[Audience boos]

Jon: Yeah. Land on that, all of the money in the round goes away. If you have no money and if the other player has money, a wedge will be able to help you out. It's called Power.

iKing: POWER!!!

Jon: Land on that wedge, guess the correct letter, and you can steal whatever money the player has in the round. And finally, we have Free Spin, if at anytime you lose your turn, you get a free one. We’ll explain more about that as we go along. Whoever has the most cash at the end of the game, will play for a chance to win up to 10x their total. Right now, let’s take a look at our first puzzle of the day. iKing?

iKing: The category is Rhyme Time.

Jon: This round will determine who will be going to the bonus round.  I will be giving the wheel one final spin of the day. As if I give you a letter and if it's in the puzzle round, you have five seconds to solve it. Vowels are worth nothing, consonants are worth $1,000 + whatever amount I landed. Up to $8,500 per consonant is at stake. Here we go. [spins]

[$500]

Jon: $1,500 for each consonant we find. iKing, what's the category?

iKing: The category is People.

Jon: What's up, guys?

Alvin: Great game, Hannah.

Jon: Now, each of these riders, and Freddie, cause he's not a rider. They have a battle spider containing a multiplier.

[Laughter!]

All: WHAT!?

Freddie: Envelopes!

Jon: Thank you, Freddie. Each of these envelopes contain a multiplier. Five of them have a double, two of them have triple, two have quadruple. Only one of them will increase your total to $95,000! Which of these riders do you think has the 10x?

Hannah: I'll take Lumen's envelope.

[Lumen hands Hannah the envelope]

Jon: Let's work on this puzzle, Hannah. iKing?

Hannah: [open the envelope] The double!

[Cheers and applause]

Alvin: Hannah, you have doubled your money to $19,000! Congratulations!

Jon: Spend that money wisely, Hannah! Now,  if you want to know who had the 10. [runs to Simon and grabs his envelope and shows the 10] Simon had it. But, Hannah doubled her winnings to $19,000. That's how we do it on ACME Wheel of Fortune. Spin the wheel, call a letter, buy a vowel, solve the puzzle, and you could win a lot of money! We'll do it again next time. From iKing, Freddie, and all Spider Riders and Battle Spiders, this is Jonathan Mann reminding you to....

With all Spider Riders and Battle Spiders:  Keep on spinnin' and solvin'!
