ACME Wheel - Episode 18

Rated TV-PG (CC; Stereo)

Lilith: Good day, everyone. As you watch today's episode of ACME Wheel, make sure your room is brightly lit, and that you're not too close to the monitor. Let's go!

Jon: [gets out of a car with a key in his hand] These set of keys start this Hyundai Accent. [grabs a bowl of four keys and puts in the key and mix them up] But four of them do not. One of our contestants could be driving this car home, today on...!

Audience: WHEEL...OF...FORTUNE!!!

[Applause]

Julie: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars and cash! And now from the ACME Studios, here are the stars of ACME Wheel, Jonathan Mann!

[Jon enters HQ; cheers and applause]

Jon: Thank you! Thank you!

Julie: And the craziest raccoon in all of Chucklewood, Freddie!

[Freddie enters HQ in the style of a quarterback]

Jon: No roughing the host, Freddie!

Freddie: Sorry, Jon.

Jon: Hi, everybody! Welcome to ACME Wheel.

Freddie: America's game, ACME's way!

Jon: Fall is in the air. I can smell the apple cider and pumpkin spice.

Freddie: And football!

Jon: Before you watch your football game, we got three Exceeds spinning the wheel trying to win some money and maybe a new car.

[Laughter!]

Jon: Make that contestants. Let's meet them right now. Julie?

[Now to the contestants]

Julie: Player number one loves to play football and enjoys reading sports magazines. From Clifton, New Jersey, meet Bruce Post!

Her family is into fostering dogs and hopes to become a veterinarian someday. From Stanford, Connecticut, meet Anne-Michelle Westcott.

He enjoys motorcross sports and loves watching war movies. From Port Jarvis, New York, say hello to T.J. Mailes.

[Applause]

Jon: Thank you, Julie.  Okay, players. Let's take a look at our wheel.

There’s hundreds of dollars in cash waiting to be won. You spin the wheel, guess a letter. If that letter’s in the puzzle, the money will be added to your bank. Guess a letter that's not in the puzzle, you lose your turn. If you solve the puzzle, the money is banked to your total. But be careful of those two black and white spaces. Lose a Turn – land on that, your turn is over automatically. And finally, the Bankrupt.

[Audience boos]

Jon: Land on that, all of the money in the round will be gone. If you have no money and if the other player has money, we have a wedge called...

Julie: POWER!!!

Jon: Land on that wedge, guess the correct letter, and you can steal whatever money the player has in the round. And finally, we have Free Spin, if at anytime you lose your turn, you get a free one. We’ll explain more about that as we go along. And new for this season, you can win a brand new car. Here's how this works. If you win the game and end up solving the bonus puzzle, you will have a chance to win a brand new car. You can win up to three extra chances. All you have to do is land on the CAR wedge, guess a correct letter, solve the puzzle and you will get an extra chance. Up to four chances to win the car are at stake. Player who has the most money at the end of the game will go on to play the bonus round for a shot at up to 10x their winnings and the car!

[Applause]

Jon: Let's take a look at our first puzzle.

Freddie: The category is What Are You Doing?

Audience: NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!

[Anne-Michelle spins]

All five Exceeds: POWER!!!

Anne-Michelle: W.

Jon: Let's move $3,500 from Bruce's score to your total, Anne-Michelle. There's a W!

Freddie: That's the one!

[Applause]

WATCHING THE
GAME AT A
SPORTS BAR

Jon: Well, Bruce, you just missed it by one word "catch" instead of "watch". So we couldn't give it to you. Anne-Michelle, you solved it perfectly. You've got $3,500. Let's take a look at our wheel for the next round.

Jon: $1,000 is the top dollar value for this round and don't forget about the Super Bankrupt. If you land on that, all of your money won in this and the previous rounds is gone. But I want to remind our viewers at home that one of the spins in this and the next round will be the Home Player Spin, let's remind the viewers at home what spin it is.

[ROUND 3
SPIN NUMBER 1]

Jon: So if either of our contestants is doing the home viewer spin and if he or she draws your name, grab something lucky. Cash is coming your way. Here's our next puzzle.

And sometimes "Y".

Y is considered a consonant. That's a $250 penalty and a loss of turn. Bruce, it's your turn.

[Bruce spins]

[$800]

Bruce: Y.

Freddie: Yep. There's a Y.

Freddie: There we go!

[Applause]

[DEFENSIVE &

Jon: I am sorry. But hey, Bruce, you wound up with $10,750! That's not bad. Isn't it?

Bruce: Not at all.

Jon: Give Bruce a round of applause here!

[Applause]

Jon: Thank you for being on our show, Bruce. Well, Captain Lee and Rockapella will be here next time with three more contestants trying to win money and a brand new car. From Freddie, Sora, and Julie, this is Jonathan Mann saying "Keep on spinnin' and keep on solvin'!"
