ACME Wheel - Episode 19

Rated TV-PG (CC; Stereo)

Wishbone: Helloooooooooooooooooo! As you watch ACME Wheel, Make sure your room is brightly lit, and don't get too close to the monitor.

Chief: [gets out of a car with a key to the car] These set of keys start this Honda Civic. [grabs a bowl of four keys and puts in the key and mix them up] Four of them do not. Our contestants could be a proud owner of this car, today on ACME Wheel of Fortune!

Audience: WHEEL....OF....FORTUNE!!!

[Cheers and applause; Rockapella performs the intro]

Chief: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars in cash!

[Cut to the alley, Greg enters and greets Rockapella]

Chief: And now from the ACME Studios, here's our captain in charge of training new recruits, Greg Lee!

[Greg enters HQ; cheers and applause]

Greg: Ah, thank you very much! [greets the players] Hi, everybody! Welcome to ACME Wheel of Fortune. The game you loved, ACME's way! Say hello to my buddies.

Rockapella: Rockapella!

[Applause]

Greg: Any of our three contestants today could be driving out of here in a brand new car. Let's go meet them right now. Chief?

[Now to the players]

Chief: She enjoys horseback riding and hopes to run her own stable. From Port Jervis, New York, meet Penelope Gaget!

He's into playing the drums and enjoys acting in school plays. From Flushing, Queens, say hello to Alvin Norris!

She enjoys reading, figure skating, and hopes to become a world-class skater. From Trenton, New Jersey, meet Heather Ganavan!

[Applause]

Greg: Thanks, Chief. Contestants, here's how we play the game. Let's take a look at our wheel.

Greg: [spins the wheel] There’s hundreds of dollars in cash waiting to be won. You spin the wheel, guess a letter. If that letter’s in the puzzle, the money will be added to your bank. Guess a letter that's not in the puzzle, you lose your turn. If you solve the puzzle, the money is banked to your total. But be careful, there's two black and white spaces you need to avoid. Lose a Turn – land on that, your turn is over automatically. And finally, the Bankrupt.

[Audience boos]

Greg: Land on that, all of the money in the round will be gone. If you have no money and if the other player has money, a wedge will be able to help you out. It's called Power.

Rockapella: POWER!!!

Greg: Land on that wedge, guess the correct letter, and you can steal whatever money the player has in the round. And finally, we have Free Spin, if at anytime you lose your turn, you get a free one. We’ll explain more about that as we go along. But that's not all! Not only you can win cash,  you can also win...

Bryant: A BRAND NEW CAR!!!

[Applause]

Greg: If you win the game and end up solving the bonus puzzle, you will have a chance to win a brand new car. You can win up to three extra chances. All you have to do is land on the CAR wedge, guess a correct letter, solve the puzzle and you will get an extra chance. Up to four chances to win the car are at stake. The player who has the most money at the end of the game will go on to play the bonus round for a shot at up to 10x their winnings and the car! And that is not bad ladies and gentlemen!

[Applause]

Greg: All right, let's take a look at our first puzzle. Chief, what's our category?

Chief: The category is Show Biz.

Rockapella: Show Biz!

Greg: There's a hyphen in the puzzle.

After studying at the Paris Conservatoire he followed a conventional career as a church organist, first at Saint-Merri, Paris and, from 1858, La Madeleine, the official church of the French Empire.
