ACME WoF - Episode 3

[COLD OPEN]

[Jon, Ash, Alvin, Brittany, Hunter, Buttons, Rusty, and Nick stand in front of HQ]

Jon: As many of you know, the creator and original host of Let's Make A Deal, Monty Hall passed away last week.

Alvin: He was not only a great host, but a great man for every sense of the world.

Hunter:  Monty's famous catchphrase "What's behind Door #1, 2, or 3? have become a part of the American culture.

Nick: In addition to being TV's Big Dealer, Monty has magnaged to raise billions of dollars through charities, telethons, and events he has hosted and supported over the past sixty years.

Buttons: Monty will never be forgotten how he was helped by someone reaching out and changing his life.

Brittany: We are all gonna miss his smile, his hosting, and the way he gives contestants deals.

Ash: We love you, Monty.

Narrator: At the request of Monty's family, donations can be made to UNICEFUSA.org to help the children in Puerto Rico from Hurricane Maria.

[SHOWTIME!]

Audience: WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!!

[Cheers and applause]

Alvin: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars in cash! And now from the ACME Studios, here are the stars of our show, Jonathan Mann!

Jon: [enters HQ] Hiya!

Alvin: And iKing!

iKing: [enters HQ] Hello and welcome!

[Cheers and applause]

Jon: Hello. Welcome to another edition of ACME's Wheel of Fortune!

iKing: America's game, ACME style! We got three contestants trying to solve puzzles for cash. We're gonna meet them right now.

Jon: If Alvin's ready, what are today's contestants?

[Now to the Contestants]

Alvin: Our first contestant enjoys game shows, and loves to play football. From Flushing, Queens, welcome Nick Apple!

Our second contestant has an interest in boats, and hopes to operate his own ferry service. From Brookyln, meet Simon Tuttle!

Our third contestant enjoys comics and wants to visit Disney World with his family someday. From Yonkers, meet Yur Drynner!

[Applause]

Jon: You ready to play, contestants?

Contestants: Yes!

Jon: Shall we look at the wheel?

Contestants: Yes!

Jon: There’s hundreds of dollars in cash waiting to be won. You spin the wheel, guess a letter. If that letter’s in the puzzle, the money will be added to your bank. Guess a letter that's not in the puzzle, you lose your turn. If you solve the puzzle, the money is banked to your total. But be careful of those two black and white spaces. Lose a Turn – you land on that your turn is over automatically. And finally the Bankrupt.

[Audience boos]

Jon: Yeah. Land on that, all of the money in the round goes bye-bye. If you have no money and if the other player has money, there’s a special wedge called Power.

iKing: POWER!!!

Jon: Guess the correct letter, and you can steal whatever money the player has in the round. And more importantly, we have Free Spin, if at anytime you lose your turn, you get a free one. We’ll explain more about that later. Whoever has the most cash at the end of the game, will play for a chance to win up to 10x their total. Right now, let’s take a look at our first puzzle of the day. iKing?

iKing: The category is Event.

[_ _ _ _ _ _      _ _ _
_ _ _ _]

Jon: We drew numbers before the show, and Nick, you've drawn the high number. You spin first.

[Nick spins]

[$500]

Nick: T.

Jon: You're in luck. We have one T.

[_ _ _ _ _ _      _ _ _
T _ _ _]

Jon: $500. Now, Nick, you can Buy a Vowel which costs a flat rate of $250, spin the Wheel again, or solve the puzzle.

Nick: I'll spin. [spins again]

[$500]

Nick: R?

Jon: Doubles your score to $1,000. There's one R.

[_ _ _ _ _ _      _ _ _
T _ _ R]

Nick: I'll buy a vowel. A U.

iKing: 1, 2, 3 of them in the puzzle.

[_ U _ _ _ _      _ U _

Jon: Good job, Nick. You have banked $850. Simon and Yur, couple more puzzles to gain you some more money as we take a look at the wheel for the next round.

The top dollar value on the wheel is $1,000. And we’ve added another Bankrupt. This time it’s called a Super Bankrupt.

[Audience boos]

Jon: Each spin, you’ll be risking everything you won up to that point, even in the previous round. If you land on that wedge, your money goes to waste! Anyway, iKing, next puzzle?

iKing: The category is What Are You Doing?

Chipettes: NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Freddie: Staring at the Chipettes all day every day!

Chipettes: WHAT!?

Jon: Don't listen to Freddie. Simon, you start this round.

[Simon spins]

[Free Spin]

iKing: I see that somebody's interested in some cardboard. Shiny cardboard at that.

Jon: [hands Simon a Free Spin token] Simon, here's your Free Spin. In any event you lose your turn, you get a free one. Take another spin please.

[Simon spins again]
