An ACME Stanley Cup Celebration featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins

Rated TV-PG

Despite my birthday is tomorrow, I am going to make our first fanfic at the ACME Crime Net boards as my birthday celebration.

Narrator: The following is a special presentation from an elite unit known as ACME Crime Net.

Buttons: From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania...!

Rusty: Home of the Stanley Cup Champion, the Pittsburgh Penguins!

Rusty: Lord Stanley has returned to Pittsburgh!

Bearbette: But the loot is gone! But have no fear!

Frisky: Our special Stanley Cup Champion Gumshoes are here...!

Buttons: On this special Stanley Cup Celebration of....!

All 4: Where in the World is... Carmen Sandiego?

[Party Hard by Andrew W.K. is heard, now to the Gumshoes]

Chief: And one of these superstars could find her!

Buttons: He is the MVP of the playoffs as well as the Conn Smythe Trophy winner! Say hello to the team captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, #87, Sydney Crosby!

Rusty: Hundreds of Pittsburghers who remember this famous call of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Rusty: Yes, it's #13, Nick "Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino" Nick Boninoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Bearbette: At the closing seconds of Game 6, he scored the cup winning goal! Say hello to #58, Kris Letang!

[Now to the visiting team's locker room, Jon enters and greets the cubs [all wearing Penguins Jerseys]

Rusty: And now from Consol Energy Center, here's the man who leads the investigation...

Cubapella: JONATHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN MANN!!!

[Jon and the cubs enter HQ; cheers and applause]

Jon: YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! Stanley Cup Champions, Pittsburgh Penguins! LET'S GO PENS! [greets the Gumshoes] Oh, man! That was quite a welcome. Welcome to a special edition of the show. Tonight, we are honoring the 2016 Stanley Cup Champion, Pittsburgh Penguins!

[Cheers and applause]

Jon: And tonight, we have three of your favorite Penguins playing for a chance to win up to $50,000 for their favorite charity. Plus, someone in the audience will have a chance to win season tickets to every Penguins home game of the 2016 NHL Season. And that's not bad!

[Applause]

Jon: But first, we cannot do this special without these four friends of ACME!

Cubapella: Cubapella!

Jon: Their second and final season concluded just in time for this special occasion. They'll be taking some time with us throughout the summer and then they have to get ready for filming for their feature film The Treasure of Chucklewood. Anyway, they will be surprise guests throughout this special edition. So let's not waste anymore time, we're gonna start you off with 250 ACME Crime Bucks. Anytime you answer a question correctly, we will give you 50 more Crime Bucks. If all three of you nail it, it's 100. And the two of you with the high scores at the end of the last round will then proceed to the next round. And if one of you catches Carmen Sandiego, you will win $50,000 for your charity and season tickets for a lucky fan in the stands.

[Applause]

Jon: All right, Chief, who we after?

[Now, to the Chief]

Chief: Gumshoes, this is Vic the Slick.

Cubapella: [scats] Vic the Slick!

Chief: That putrid pitch man who pilfers for Carmen Sandiego.
His last known whereabouts: San Jose, California.

Chief: The SAP Center is an indoor arena whose primary tenant for the Western Confrence Champion, San Jose Sharks. It is often named the Shark Tank. Construction began in 1991. Soon after the NHL granted an expansion franchise to San Jose, it was discovered that the arena would not be suitable for NBA or NHL use as originally designed. The Sharks requested an upgrade to NHL standards, including the addition of luxury suites, a press box and increased seating capacity. It was completed two years later as San Jose Arena. In 2001, Hewlett-Packard purchased the naming rights and renamed it the HP Pavilion. Twelve years later, SAP purchased the naming rights and named the arena to it's day. The arena housed introductory media activities for Super Bowl 50. It also hosted games 3, 4, and 6 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals, with the cup being presented to the Pittsburgh Penguins in game 6. But today...!

Cubapella: Oh, no!

Chief: The Shark Tank is no more! Vic the Slick boogied into San Jose, and took the arena away! He's thinking it of selling it to Wonder Rat as a secondary swimming pool. Only problem is, it's an ice arena. Gumshoes, you must restore San Jose's Shark Tank, put that sleezy salesman in his own tank and the capture Carmen Sandiego! Now, here's what we know so far. Vic the Slick cruised to a Alaskan City where he went to the Sullivan Arena, which is home to a minor league hockey team known as the Aces. It is located at the terminus of the Cook Inlet on a peninsula formed by the Knik Arm to the north and the Turnagain Arm to the south. It is a common refueling stop for many international passenger flights. Jon?

[Back to HQ]

Jon: Thanks, Chief. Okay, guys. Name the city. Is it Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Juneau? Remember the clues we just heard: Sullivan Arena, home of a minor leauge known as the Aces, and Knik and Turnagian arms.

[The Gumshoes are locked in]

Jon: Sydney, what did you say?

Sydney: I said Anchorage.

Jon: Anchorage. Nick?

Nick: Anchorage.

Jon: Same thing. Kris?

Kris: I also said Anchorage.

Jon: Everyone said Anchorage and that is what we're looking for!

[Applause]

Jon: That takes the three of you to 350. Now for our next clue...

Familer Voice: Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino...

[Who should enter HQ, but Harnarayan Singh!?]

Singh: Nick....Boninooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

[Cheers and applause]

Jon: Harnayan Singh! The guy who's famous for the "Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino!" call!

[Cheers and applause]

Jon: The Punjabi broadcasting team from Hockey Night in Canada. What brings you here?

Singh: I decided to make a quick stop to congraduate the Pittsburgh Penguins on winning the Stanley Cup. My team have just heard that Vic went to a European capital situated on the Vitava River. Look for an arena called the O2 Arena, the second largest ice hockey arena in Europe. It's the home to the HC Sparta Praha. Vic may also hide the Žižkov Television Tower. San Jose is in serious jeopardy! They need to save the Shark Tank, or the Sharks will have no hockey at all! Go Get hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim!

Jon: Harnayan Singh, ladies and gentlemen!

[Applause]

Jon: He made one great call. Okay, guys, Name the capital. Is it Bucharest, Tallinn, or Prague?

[The Gumshoes are locked in]

Jon: Sydney?

Sydney: Prague.

Jon: Prague. Nick?

Nick: Prague.

Jon: Same thing. Kris?

Kris: Bucharest.

Jon: Bucharest. The answer we're looking for is Prague. Nice job Sydney and Nick!

[Applause]

Jon: So Sydney and Nick go to 400. Kris still has 350. Now, for our next clue, we go to the voice of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the lead announcer for the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network, Mike Lange!

Lange: Oh, Lord Stanley, Lord Stanley, get me the brandy! Anyway, Penguins, I saw that the sleezy salesman went back in time to when a defunct NHL hockey team called the Quebecc Nordiques was formed. They played in the World Hockey Association [which was in it's first year] and the National Hockey League until the team was relocated to Denver. He also found the arcade version called Pong was released. He went to Dartsmouth College when the first women are admitted there. And you can spit-shine your shoes Pittsburgh, you're going dancing with the Lord of Lords, Lord Stanley! Congraduations, Pittsburgh Penguins!

[Applause; back to HQ]

Jon: Thank you, Mike. Okay, guys. Name the year. Was it 1969, 1972, or 1975? Remember the clues: Quebecc Nordiques was formed, World Hockey Association was in it's first season, arcade version of Pong was released, and first women are admitted to Dartsmouth College.

[The Gumshoes are locked in]

Jon: Sydney?

Sydney: 1975.

Jon: 1975. Nick?

Nick: '75.

Jon: Same thing. Kris?

Kris: '69.

Jon: '69. Actually, the year we're looking for was 1972. Sorry, guys!

[BUZZER!]

[The audience groans]

Jon: So no change in the score here.

[The goal horn is heard rapidly]

Jon: Uh, oh! We didn't score a goal yet!

Rusty: Jon, the goal horn will not stop sounding!

Buttons: Better do a Data Boost!

Jon: Okay, guys you heard 'em. It's time for a Data Boost. I am gonna give you a name of a sports team. Your job, ring in and tell me when in 1972, if that team was active, already been defunct, or not yet active. If you're right, we'll give you 25 Crime Bucks. The one of you that gets five questions right will win a $5,000 bonus for your charity. Remember, your choices are active, defunct, or not yet active. Here we go. The Hartford Whalers.

[Nick rings in]

Jon: Nick?

Nick: Not yet.

[Bells sound out]

Jon: Yes. The Hartford Whalers first played in 1979 then moved to Carolina in 1997. The Houston Oilers.

[Nick rings in again]

Jon: Nick?

Nick: Active.

[Bells sound out]

Jon: Yes. The Minneapolis Lakers.

[Nick rings in again]

Jon: Nick?

Nick: Active?

[BUZZER!]

Jon: Nope. Sydney and Kris, it's either Defunct, or not yet active.

[Nobody rings in]

[BUZZER!]

Jon: Defunct. The team went defunct in 1960 which were later located to Los Angeles. How about the Mighty Ducks of Anahiem.

[Sydney rings in]

Jon: Sydney?

Sydney: Not yet active.

[Bells sound out]

Jon: Yes! The Ducks played their first season in 1993. Finally, the Oakland Athletics.

[Kris rings in]

Jon: Kris?

Kris: Active.

[Bells sound out]

Jon: Yep. At the end of the Data Boost, Nick goes to 450 and the lead, Sydney goes to 425, Kris goes to 400. 25 Crime Bucks separate between the each of you. Right now, we're gonna talk about the charities that you three will be playing for starting with Sydney.

Sydney: Well, Jon, I'm playing for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank through the Score Against Hunger Food Collection. The Pens hosts annual food drives to help the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank feed the hungry at local community shelters and food pantries where the need for food has increased tremendously over the past year.

Jon: All right. Money will be raised to help feed the poor. Nick, what are you playing for?

Nick: I am playing for Toys for Tots. The organization run by the Marine Corps. which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.

Jon: Well we are halfway through the year already. Plenty of time to give the kids presents. And finally, Kris.

Kris: I am playing for Hockey Fights Cancer. An initiative which raises money to support national and local cancer research institutions, Children’s Hospitals, player charities and local cancer organizations.

Jon: Excellent. Let's give all three of our Penguin All Stars a hand!

[Applause]

Jon: Now before we go on. I want to remind the viewers at home about our new home viewer contest. When we launch our new versions of the show later in the summer, five of you viewers at home each time we're on the air will have a chance to win your very own ACME Travel Kit which includes an ACME T-Shirt. And if you want to win, we go to New York where Captain Greg Lee and the Chief will tell you about it.

[Now to ACME Crime Net HQ in New York]

Greg: Thanks, Jon. If you at home want to win your very own ACME Travel Kit, here's what to do. Write down what got stolen and from where each time you watch the show. When you collected five loots and locations, put them on a postcard along with your name and address and send it to...

Greg: ACME Crime Net
P.O. Box 4300

Greg: That's right, Chief. Right now, it's time to head back to Pittsburgh on the investigation of Vic the Slick and the SAP Center. ACME Bug Net has intercepted this phone conversation between Vic and Carmen Sandiego. Watch.

Re: An ACME Stanley Cup Celebration featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins

[Phone Tap]

Vic: What do you want, Carmen?

Carmen: Hide the shark tank to Japan's fourth largest city, where the first Winter Olympics games were held in Asia in 1972.

Vic: I thought Nagano first hosted the games. I didn't know that.

Carmen: Now you know. This city's known for it's annual Yuki Matsuri, internationally referred to as the Snow Festival. Visitors can enjoy long snow and ice slides as well as a huge maze made of snow.

Vic: Good for people to play hockey too! I'll send you some white chocolate biscuits.

Carmen: Called "shiroi koibito" meaning white sweetheart.

Vic: He shoots! He scores!

[Back to HQ]

Jon: All right, players. Name the city. Is it Sapporo, Nagano, or Tsu? Remember the clues we just heard: Fourth largest city in Japan, first Asian city to host a winter games, Snow Festival, and shiroi koibito known as white chocolate biscuits.

[The Gumshoes are locked in]

Jon: Sydney, go ahead.

Sydney: I said Nagano.

Jon: Nagano. Nick?

Nick: Nagano.

Jon: Same thing. Kris?

Kris: Nagano.

Jon: Everyone said Nagano, and everyone is wrong!

[BUZZER!]

[The audience groans]

Jon: It was Sapporo. Nagano hosted the games in 1998. So scores remain the same. Nick 450, Sydney 425, Kris 400. However we just heard that Vic has left Sapporo, so let's pick up...the Chase!

[The cubs skate past with the Stanley Cup in their hand, Iceburgh runs after them]

Cubapella: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH....THE CHASE!!!

Jon: Careful, cubs. All of these are worth 25 Crime Bucks. Get all questions right will win a $5,000 bonus for their charity. Hands on the signaling buttons. Watch the monitor, here we go. Vic flew to Seoul.

[Nick rings in]

Jon: Nick?

Nick: South Korea.

Jon: Correct. From there, he took his stolen shark tank to Shanghai. What sea did he swam?

[Sydney rings in]

Jon: Sydney?

Sydney: Yellow.

Jon: Right. He flew to the Phillipines' capital.

[Kris rings in]

Jon: Kris?

Kris: Manila.

Jon: Right. He then sailed the Java Sea to Jakarta.

[Kris rings in again]

Jon: Kris?

Kris: Indonesia.

Jon: Right. Finally, he rested his tank to Rottnest Island.

[Sydney rings in]

Jon: Sydney?

Sydney: West Australia.

Jon: Yes. At the end of the Chase,  Nick and Sydney go to 475 and a tie, Kris goes to 450. Now it's time for the final clue of the round, which you means you get to decide how much you want to risk. If you're right, we'll add that amount to your score. If you're wrong, we'll deduct it. You can risk 0, 50, 50, 100, 150, 200, or 250.

[A map of the Northeastern United States is shown on the monitor]

Jon: Here's a portion of the world on where we think Vic is headed. If you know alot about part of this world, you may want to risk a lot. If you don't know very much about it, you may not want to risk quite so much. Take a look at the map, and think about.

[The "risk" cue is heard as the Gumshoes lock in their wagers]

[Afterwards the cue ends]

Jon: Okay. Now for our final clue of the round, we go to Chucklewood's favorite rappin' bird who can teach more fun. The one...the only....M-C Franklin!

[Now, to Franklin]

Franklin: Hey, hey, hey, Pittsburgh! I'm no Penguin. This owl jams and slams!

[Instead of his regular M.C. Franklin attire, he reveals a Penguins jersey and a Penguins cap]

Franklin: I know a film called Jaws
which was filmed on an East Coast island.
Vic's hiding out in Menemsha
which is the primary setting for the film.
Buttons: Take a boat or a plane
those are the only ways to get to the island.
Rusty: Look around the town of Oak Bluffs
it's cottages resemble gingerbread houses.
Franklin: And there you go my friends.
The shark tank is at stake.
So, you better catch Vic and retrieve the shark tank
he's hiding on an island where Jaws is filmed.
Buttons: So, you better catch Vic,
Rusty: And retrieve the shark tank,
Bearbette and Frisky: He's hiding on an island,
All w/ Franklin: Where Jaws...
is filmed!

[Back to HQ]

Jon: Franklin, ladies and gentlemen!

[Applause]

Jon: All right, guys. Name the island. Is it Mount Desert Island, Martha's Vineyard, or Long Island?

[The Gumshoes are locked in]

Jon: Kris, we'll start with you. You have 450. How much did you risk?

Kris: I risk 100.

Jon: 100. What did you say?

Kris: Martha's Vineyard.

Jon: Martha's Vineyard is right!

[Applause]

Jon: Takes you to 550. We have a tie between Sydney and Nick at 475. Gumshoes to my left goes first, Sydney. What did you risk?

Sydney: I risked 250.

Jon: Oooh! What did you say?

Sydney: Martha's Vineyard.

Jon: Martha's Vineyard is right! Takes you to 725 and the lead. And more importantly, you are automatically move on to the next round!

[Applause]

Jon: Now Nick, you have 475. What did you wager?

Nick: 100

Jon: Now, here's the situation. If you get this right, you will go with Sydney in the next round. If not, Kris does. What did you say?

Nick: Martha's Vineyard!

Jon: Sydney and Nick are moving on to the next round!

[Applause]

Jon: Kris, you were a great detective. Thank you very much for being with us on the case. Your charity will be recieving $5,000 plus the Crime Bucks up front. You are also going to get the ACME Travel Kit. Chief?

[Back to the Chief]

Chief: We're so proud that you never gave up the chase. That kind of perseverance deserves something special. For instance, this official ACME Travel Kit. It's all in this ACME Messenger Bag. This kit includes an atlas, the ACME Crime Net cap with the logo in front, the official Carmen T-shirt and Croton Watch, a globe ball, a subscription to National Geographic World magazine, and our new ACME Sterling Silver Stealth Pen Recorder. See, it writes just like a regular pen, and it has a built-in digital recorder. Perfect for storing messages.

[She pushes a button on the pen recorder]

Cow: [on recorder]: MOO!!!

Chief: And, uh, the occasional large pet.

[Laughter!; applause]

Re: An ACME Stanley Cup Celebration featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins

Jon: Thanks, Chief. Okay, Nick and Sydney. We're off to Martha's VIneyard to find Vic and the SAP Center. We're gonna get there as fast as we can. We're gonna modem ourselves to get there.

[BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!]

Jon: We're off! Here we go!

[He and the Gumshoes teleport to the Jailtime Challenge station in Martha's Vineyard]

[Locations:
Edgartown
Cannonball Park
Gay Head-Aquinnah Town Center Historic District
Martha's Vineyard Regional High School
Wesleyan Grove
Menemsha
Bartholomew Gosnold Monument
East Chop
Chilmark
Whale Tail Sculpture
Martha's Vineyard Airport
Polly Hill Arboretum
Old Mill
Vineyard Sound
Steamship Authority]

Jon: [exhales] Okay. Here we are at Martha's Vineyard right this way, please.

[He the Gumshoes take their positions]

Jon: Now, normally the Chief will appear to give you some important information. But ACME Vineyard Net has informed me that the Chief has many other projects to do. So, doing the briefing today, please welcome the voice of the NHL on NBC, Mike Emrick!

Mike: Oh, Pittsburgh. After almost two weeks of calling the games for the Stanley Cup Finals, I have rested my voice so that I can come here to celebrate the Pens on winning the Stanley Cup. Gumshoes, the Chief has given me today's briefing. There are fifteen places along Martha's Vineyard, where you might find Vic, the Warrant, or the SAP Center. Let's look at a few of them.

Mike: The Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority, commonly referred to as the Steamship Authority, the statutory regulatory body for all ferry operations to and from the islands, and the only ferry operator to carry automobiles to the island. The Authority also operates several freight vessels, thus serving as the main link for shipping any commercial goods to Martha's Vineyad and Nantucket that are not transported by air.

Mike: Check out the Polly Hill Arboretum. Featuring over 60 acres of native woodland. In 1687, Henry Luce, one of the first English settlers on Martha's Vineyard purchased 400 acres of land in the island's center from the natives. In 1926, 40 acres of this land, then a sheep farm, were acquired by Hill's family. After her father's death, Hill decided to create an arboretum in 1958, growing the trees from seed. Through purchase of adjacent land, the property was increased to a total of 60 acres.

Mike: And finally, San Jose can hear the Jaws theme. The fishing pier where Spielberg's 1975 classic was served as the background. The village's historic harbor serves as the point of departure for local fishermen, some from multi-generational fishing families such as the Larsens, Pooles and Mayhews, as well as charter boats to the Elizabeth Islands and elsewhere. Besides charter fishing and cruises, other possibilities for recreation are the public beach adjacent to the harbor and the bicycle ferry across Menemsha Pond to Aquinnah as well as many excellent places to get freshly cooked seafood. Now, Penguins, that's your briefing. Without their beloved Shark Tank, the San Jose Sharks will not play any hockey at all next season. Here's what I want you to do. The first thing you need to find is the loot. Once you get that, you will have the evidence you need so that you can get a warrant. After you get the warrant, you can then arrest the crook. Connect all three of those things in that order in a single turn, and you will have the right to go after Carmen Sandiego. Catch Carmen Sandiego, and your charity will win $50,000 and a lucky Penguins fan will win season tickets to all home games in the 2016-17 season. So, Penguins, SAP the Slick to his own shark tank, and then return the SAP Center back to San Jose. They are somewhere in Martha's Vineyard! Good luck!

[He signs off]

Jon: How about a nice hand for Mike Emrick!

[Applause]

Jon: Now, one more thing that Mike forgot to mention. You can pick any location that you want. But if you find either the Loot, Warrant, or Crook, you get a free turn. Sydney, you had the most at the end of the last round, you go first.

Sydney: Menemsha.

Jon: Menemsha.

[The Loot]

Freddie: SH-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-RK!!!

Jon: Freddie, is that you?

Bearbette: Don't listen to him. He played a prank on me and Frisky last season at Chucklewood Lake.

Frisky: That was a dumb trick.

Rusty: We told him whenever we are swimming, never do a prank like that again.

Jon: I see. Okay, Sydney, you got the loot, and a free turn.

Sydney: Cannonball Park.

Jon: Cannonball Park.

[Shoeprints]

Jon: Nothing there, but you did find the loot. Nick, it's your turn.

Nick: Menemsha.

Jon: Menemsha.

[The Loot]

Cubapella: Taken hockey rink!

Jon: Go, Nick.

Nick: Vineyard Sound.

Jon: Vineyard Sound.

[Shoeprints]

Jon: Nothing there. Sydney?

Sydney: Menemsha.

Jon: Menemsha.

[The Loot]

Cubapella: Abucted arena!

Jon: Go ahead, Sydney.

Sydney: Old Mill.

Jon: The Old Mill.

[Vic]

Cubapella: Vic the Slick!

Jon: Okay, you found the Loot, and the Crook. You cannot arrest the warrant, because that is a document you need to arrest the crook. You need the warrant before you can find the crook. Be careful.

Sydney: Cannonball Park.

Jon: Cannonball Park.

[Shoeprints]

Jon: Nice strategy, we turn all three of them back around. We go back to Nick.

Nick: Menemsha.

Jon: Menemsha.

[The Loot]

Freddie: Shark attack!

Buttons: Shut the hell up, Freddie!

Jon: Freddie's nothing but a damn troublemaker. Free turn, Nick.

Nick: Martha's Vineyard Airport.

Jon: The airport.

[Shoeprints]

Jon: Nope. Sydney?

Sydney: Menemsha.

Jon: Menemsha.

[The Loot]

Cubapella: Stolen shark tank!

Freddie: SH-A-A-A-A-A-A---!!!!

[The cubs duct tape Freddie's mouth, two guards frisk Freddie and drag him out of the arena]

[Applause]

Jon: Thanks, cubs. Anyway, Sydney.

Sydney: Steamship Authority.

Jon: The Steamship Authority.

[Shoeprints]

Jon: Nothing there. We go back to Nick.

Nick: Menemsha.

Jon: Menemsha.

[The Loot]

Cubapella: Burgled arena!

Nick: Bartholomew Gosnold Monument.

Jon: Bartholomew Gosnold Monument.

[The Warrant]

Cubapella: The Warrant!

Jon: Oh! You have the Loot, you have the Warrant. Do you remember where Vic is?

Nick: The Old Mill!

Jon: Is he still at the Old Mill!?

[Vic]

Cubapella: Vic the Slick! YOU'VE WON!!!

[Cheers and applause]

[Cubapella does their fanfare as the confetti falls on Nick]

Jon: Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino-Bonino! Nick Boninoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

[Nick walks up to him]

Jon: That was great! You got the SAP Center back to San Jose, and now pull on the chain and put Vic in jail!

[Nick pulls the chain, and...]

Cubapella: Vic the Slick's in jail!

[Applause]

Jon: Okay, Nick. We'll get back to you in a bit. First off, Sydney, great work today. We're gonna give you $5,725 for your charity, the ACME Travel Kit, and this. Chief?

[Back to the Chief]

Chief: Good detective work is a team effort, and today, you made a huge contribution. That's why I'm awarding you the ACME Travel Kit, plus this lovely 4GB MP3 and video player. It even includes a 2.8-inch touch screen. It includes music from around the world, and songs by Rockapella, including our theme song, so that you can be entertained wherever you go. It's a great gift for a job well done! Congratulations!

Re: An ACME Stanley Cup Celebration featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins

Jon: Nick, congratulations. You have completed mission #1 which is returning the SAP Center to San Jose, and capturing Vic the Slick. Now, you're ready for your final adventure: Capturing Carmen Sandiego. If you catch her, your charity will win $50,000 and a lucky member of our audience will win season tickets to every Penguins home game in the 2016-17 season. Now we need is a phone call to find out where Carmen is.

[The phone rings]

Jon: There it is! [picks up] Hello? Yeah, he's right here hold on. [hands the phone to Nick]

Nick: Hello?

Vic: I'm gonna need some company in the slammer, so here's the scoop on Carmen. Look for her in Africa. [hangs up]

Jon: Okay, Nick. We're off to find Carmen Sandiego! Chief, what can you tell us?

[Back to the Chief]

Chief: Here's a list of places Carmen may have traveled.

Egypt
Sudan
Western Sahara
Ethiopia
Eritrea
Kenya
Madagascar
Comoros
Zimbabwe
Central African Republic
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Gabon
Swaziland
Senegal
Togo

Jonathan! Let's go the map!

Scott: I feel GOOD!

[Applause]

[Cubapella does the Map intro; Jon and Nick enter the Map of Africa]

Jon: All right, Nick. This is what is all about. What you have to do is identify seven different places with each marker. If you're right, you'll hear this sound.

[SIREN!]

Jon: But if you're wrong, you'll hear this sound.

[BUZZER!]

Jon: If you're wrong twice, leave the marker where it is, come back, and we'll move on. But if you're right 7 times within 45 seconds, your charity, Toys for Tots, will win $50,000 and a lucky fan will get those season tickets. Are you ready, Nick?

Nick: Yes I am!

Jon: Audience!?

Audience: YEAH!!!

Jon: Here we go! Grab your first marker.

[Nick grabs his first marker]

Jon: Let's get 45 seconds up on the clock.

[The timer is set at 45 seconds]

Jon: Good luck to you. Here we go. On your mark, get set, GO!

[The timer and music start]

All: DO IT, CUBAPELLA!!!

[Cubapella performs the theme song during the credits]

Buttons: Well, she sneaks around the world
from Kiev to Carolina.
She's a sticky-fingered filcher
from Berlin down to Belize.
Rusty: She'll take you for a ride
on a slow boat to China.
Tell me...
Bearbette and Frisky: Where in the World is...
Buttons: Carmen Sandiego?

Bearbette: Steal their Seoul in South Korea.
Make Antarctica cry "UNCLE!".
From the Red Sea to Greenland,
they'll be singin' the blues.
Frisky: Well, they never Arkansas her steal
the Mekong from the jungle.
Tell me...
Buttons: Where in the World is...
Bearbette and Frisky: Carmen Sandiego?

All four cubs: She go from Nashville to Norway,
Bonaire to Zimbabwe,
Chicago to Czech or Slovakia...
AND BACK!!

Well, she'll ransack Pakistan
and run a scam in Scandinavia.
Then she'll stick 'em up Down Under
and go pickpocket Perth.
She put the Miss in misdemeanor
when she stole the beans from Lima.
Tell me...
Where in the World is...
Buttons: Carmen Sandiego?

Frisky: Oh, tell me, where in the world...?
Rusty: Oh, tell me, where can she be?

Cubapella: Botswana to Thailand.
Milan via Amsterdam.
Mali to Bali.
Ohio.
OAHU!!

[They all jam]

Cubapella: She glides around the globe,
and she'll flim-flam every nation.
She's a double-dealin' diva
with a taste for thievery.
Her itinerary's loaded up
with moving violations.
Tell me...
Where in the World is...
Buttons: Carmen Sandiego?

Frisky: WHOA! Tell me...

All: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Rusty: Oh, tell me...)
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Rusty: Where could she be?)
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Frisky: Gotta find her. Gotta-gotta find her!)
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Buttons: Ooh... Got to find her now!)
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Bearbette: Where is Carmen? Where is she?)
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (Rusty: Wheeeeeeere can she be?)
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
