ACME Wheel - Season 2 Winter/Spring Plug

(CC; Dolby)

Narrator: Crime Net will not be presented tonight due to the following ACME Crime Net special presentation. But it will be back soon at it's regular time.

[Jester's Gym, Enchanted Valley, Chucklewood, NY, Wednesday, November 29th, 4:30pm]

[At a swimming pool, re-enacting a scene from Home Alone 2Jingle Bell Rock is heard. Freddie (wearing his swimming trunks) and Jester (a beaver, wearing large gray swimming trunks) face off against one side of each other]

Freddie: Would it bother if Jester and I worked on our cannonballs?

Jon: No.

Jester: Thanks.

[Freddie and Jester stand back at each other, then run on each side of the pool and they each do a cannonball...]

Freddie and Jester: CANNONBALL!!!

[They hit the water and the water splashes on Jon]

Jon: WHOA!!! [laughs]

[Freddie and Jester swim out of the pool]

Jon: That is one big cannonball you two guys did.

Jester: [laughs] Thanks.

Jon: [grabs a towel and faces the camera] Oh, hi. After spending the entire Thanksgiving with my family, Freddie and I are working out at Jester's Gym. Jester's gym is located in the Enchanted Valley, not very far from Chucklewood.

Freddie: We lifted weights, rode the treadmill, ride the exercise bike.

Jester: Throw punches at the punching bag, and even swim laps a the pool. We we're finishing up cannonball lessons.

Freddie: We ended our day by re-enacting a scene from one of our favorite Christmas films: Home Alone 2.

Jon: We will take you to the ACME premiere of an animated adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol in a bit. But before we do that, we want to remind you folks that on Saturday, December 29 at the ACME Studios at Kaufman Astoria, we will be taping two episodes of ACME Wheel.

Freddie: If you're going to be in the New York Area for your holiday break, you could win lots of cash and maybe a brand new car. So get a piece of paper and a pen ready, cause here comes some very important information.

[Back to the gym]

Jon: So once again, December 29th will be the date will be taping two episodes. And eventually, we will be selecting members of our studio audience to become contestants for our Winter season.

Freddie: The winter season begins halfway through January of 2019.

Jester: This going to be lots of fun and exciting!

Jon: Right now, we are going to take you to an animated adaptation of A Christmas Carol called
A Christmas Carol: Scrooge's Ghostly Tale.

Jester: This version casts the famous Dickens characters as anthropomorphic animals.

Freddie: Like Disney's Robin Hood?

Jester: Right, Freddie. But this version of A Christmas Carol is not produced by Disney. It was a computer animated special made in 2006 by another company.

Jon: And the stars of the characters are as follows: Ebenezer Scrooge and his relatives are skunks, Bob Cratchit and his family are rabbits, the ghost of Jacob Marley is a cricket, the Ghost of Christmas Past is a stork, the Ghost of Christmas Present is a kangaroo and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is a walrus. This version differs from the original novel in many ways, but we are not gonna tell you right away. Cause it's starting in a few seconds.

Jester: Make sure that you watch in a brightly-lit room, and don't watch too close to the monitor. C'mon, boys, let's take it in.

Freddie: Ummm...Jester. Look behind you!

[Jester turns and sees his bathing suit in the water]

Jester: YIKES!!! [jumps into the pool and grabs his bathing suit and puts it back on]

[Laughter!]
