Did you know....?

When ACME Crime Net began airing Buttons & Rusty/Chucklewood Critters, the title of the TV series (Chucklewood Critters; which ran from 1998-99 in syndication) was renamed The New Adventures of Buttons & Rusty to capitalize the stars of the franchise (Buttons & Rusty). Most of the holidays specials had the title "Buttons & Rusty in...."

The episodes that were YouTube were edited in a similar style to PBS-airings. The Picture Pages segments that were shown were sourced from videotapes I checked out from the library. Those Picture Pages originally aired on Captain Kangaroo and Nickeloden from the late-1970s to the 1990s. ACME thought it would be a good idea to upload a Picture Page attached to an episode of Buttons & Rusty so that the episode would be 28 minutes. The same length as a PBS program. So in return, you got the opening sequence, the episode itself, the Picture Page, the M.C. Franklin or P.S.A message, the funding credits (for some episodes), the credits, the PBS logo--what do you get? A 28 minute episode!

What about the WGBH logo at the end?
ACME Crime Net's flagship show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? was produced by WQED Pittsburgh and WGBH Boston. Since Carmen Sandiego never used the WGBH Boston logo at the start or end of it's shows, we figured we should put that in.
