Simon: Good evening. Welcome to The ACME Summer Movie. Tonight, we pay a special tribute to Denise Nickerson who recently passed away with a presentation of her famous film Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. Nickerson is famous for her role as the gum-chewing Violet Beuaregarde. In addition, she played Amy Jennings and Nora Collins on Dark Shadows, and as a member of the Short Circus of The Electric Company. But Nickerson's role of Violet will live on for generations to come. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Nickerson family, and her fellow Wonka co-stars.
