ACME Wheel - Episode 31 (Season 3 Premiere)

Rated TV-PG (CC)

Buttons: Don't forget to watch ACME Wheel in a brightly lit room, and don't sit too close to the monitor. Let Season 3 begin!

All: WHEEL...OF...FORTUNE!

Eris: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars in cash! And now from the ACME Studios in New York, here are the stars of our show: The Raccoon who is nothing but a troublemaker, Freddie!

[Freddie enters HQ and does a cartwheel into the set]

Eris: And Jonathan Mann!

[Jon enters HQ; cheers and applause]

Jon: Reruns are over! Summer is over!

[The audience gives a standing ovation]

Freddie: Thank you! Thank you!

Jon: And thank you! Hi, everybody! Summer is over. The pool is put away until June.

Freddie: Your bathing suits are put away too. Your beach chairs are away. And all those summer things.

Jon: We spent the whole twelve weeks camping, swimming and going on lots of adcentures adventures. But now, the kids are back in school.

Freddie: Nine months of edumacation have just begun. Welcome to an all new season of ACME Wheel. The game you know so well ACME's way!

Jon: We have some exciting changes to announce. The first big change is our contestants. Instead of having three contestants, we are now going to have two. Making us allow time for more contestants.

Freddie: So, Eris. Let's meet our first two contestants of our new season.

[Now to the Contestants]

Eris: You bet, Freddie! Our first player enjoys reading fiction and is into fan-fic writing. From the Bronx, say hello to Zeke Lilson!

She cheerleads in Spanish, French and English and enjoys volleyball. From Long Island, meet Sakyura Cameai!

[Applause]

Jon: Thanks, Eris.

Eris: Meow!

Jon: Now, here's how we play the game. Let's take a look at our wheel.

Jon: [spins the wheel] There’s hundreds of dollars in cash waiting to be won. You spin the wheel, guess a letter. If that letter’s in the puzzle, the money will be added to your bank. Guess a letter that's not in the puzzle, you lose your turn. But be careful of those two black and white spaces. Lose a Turn – land on that, your turn is over automatically. And finally, the Bankrupt.

[Audience boos]

Jon: Land on that, all of the money in the round will be gone! Bye-bye. If you have no money and if the other player has money, we have a wedge called Power.

Aoi, Manami, Antonia, and Kio: POWER!

Jon: We love it when they said that phrase. If you land on that and guess a letter, the other player's bank will belong to you.  When you solve the puzzle, the money is yours to keep. Now, this is new for this season. The first player to solve two puzzles will play in our bonus round for a chance to double, triple, or even quadruple their winnings!

[Applause]

Jon: All of our games will now be best-of-three matches. We hope you will enjoy our new format. Without further ado, let's get our first puzzle. Freddie?

Freddie: The category is Phrase.

Antonia: Nope. None of them.

Jon: Guess you have to do this on your own, Sakurya. We are gonna give you ten seconds to figure this out.

[The timer is set at ten seconds]

Jon: Studio audience, please zip your lips and be very quiet. She has to do this by herself. You have ten seconds to talk it out. Good luck.

[Sakurya stutters]

[Afterwards...]

Jon: The right letters you choose will help you solve the puzzle. What was it?

[HULA]

Sakuyra: Aaaaaaaaaaw!

Jon: Hula is what we're looking for. I am sorry. But let's find out what would have happened. [opens the envelope] And you could have doubled your money. But hey, $2,675 is not bad for a day's work. Thank you for playing on our show.
