    OBIT - James Carter Cathcart (Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.)

    Voice actress Erica Schroder reported that Pokémon voice actor James Carter Cathcart, best known for voicing characters such as James (replacing Eric Stuart), Meowth (replacing Maddie Blaustein) and, of course, Gary Oak (from start to finish), recently passed away at the age of 71. Just two years after he retired from voice acting (right after the original Pokémon anime wrapped up).

    He was a wonderful voice actor, and we'll never forget his roles. May he rest in peace.
