If Supermarket Sweep were to return for a second season
In the Big Sweep, Leslie Jones (LJ) would introduce more ways to earn money:
Bring the amount of bread needed (International Bread Center)
Mystery Product (every 30 seconds, LJ or DC will give a clue to a mystery item)
Deli (Grab an appropriate sandwich containing the bonus)
Eliminate Rich’s Roses
Super Sweep:
First Item: $500
Second Item: $1000
Third: $5000 (risk it all for a chance at item number 4 with an additional 15 seconds on the clock)
Fourth: $10000 (guranteed $1,000, plus a chance at item number 5 for $25,000)
Fifth: $25,000
Have college students play the game. (College Day)
Family Day
At the end of the season, the six biggest winners will play against each other for a chance to increase their winnings to $100,000:
Similar to the finale of the Twin Car Giveaway:
One Round Robin Game with $50 per correct answer added to their sweep total
No team has an advantage in the Big Sweep.
All teams have a flat rate of four minutes.
At the end of Sweep #2, the team with the highest score wins $100,000.

Get rid of all employees (Richard, Neil (whose presence is pointless!), the barista whose name escapes me, etc.) except D.C. (and only limit his duties to official checker)
Add more bonuses to the Big Sweep
Add an extra inflatable bonus worth $500
Bring back the old music
Have the announcer do the play by play in the Big Sweep instead of the host
Invite David Ruprecht to host a game

should it just be cut back down to just half hour episodes rather than the 2 game 1 hour episode? (but then again how many minutes are the average commercial break these days compared to the 90s?)

Add a Hot Foods bonus: Look for a correct Rotisserie Chicken or Turkey ($300)
Look for a Pizza with the correct topping

If Season 1 of LJ's Supermarket Sweep reran in syndication in half hour blocks, it would require lots of editing for time. Perhaps it can be pitched to syndication.

do they still syndicate game shows? heck I'm still wondering if that type of syndication exists (I'm talking about the thing that saved shows like Fame or Baywatch, not the reruns after 100 episodes type of syndication)
