So if you haven't heard by now early next year, Pokemon will have a new protagonist because....where do go from there after Ash finally wins a World Championship? now we've seen companions depart before but this is the first time we've had the main character retire....which will beg the question, what happens to Team Rocket?

of course I don't know when those episodes will premiere in North America though
