ACME Wheel - Episode 27

Rated TV-PG (CC)

Quoone: Don't forget to watch in a brightly-lit room, and don't sit too close to your screen. It's time for ACME Wheel! Meow!

Freddie: Each of these keys in my pop's pockets is the key to this Chevy Spark. Believe it or not, only one of them is actually the key. Our players could be driving out of here in this car today on...!

All: WHEEL...OF...FORTUNE!

[Applause]

Quoone: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars in cash! And now from the ACME Studios, here are the stars of our show: A raccoon that I can kick his ass when he is  a total bastard, Freddie!

Freddie: [enters HQ] Hey, guys!

Quoone: And a man who always has the right to remain silent: Jonathan Mann!

Jon: [enters HQ] Hello, everyone! Welcome to the show.

Freddie: This is a shorten version today due to the pledge drive.

Jon: Right after this show, we will take you to your local public television station. They encourage you to donate to your local public television station. 'Cause remember...

Freddie: Viewers Like You!

Jon: Right, Freddie. We're going to meet today's---not three---two contestants. 'Cause we need to make room for the pledge drive segment.

Freddie: And here's the mighty Quoone to meet them.

[Now to the contestants]

Quoone: Player #1 enjoys horseback riding and loves to collect Barbie dolls. From Clifton, New Jersey, say hello to Allison Moone!

Player #2 enjoys cooking and hopes to be a chef just like his mother. From Yonkers, meet Isiah Wester!

[Applause]

Jon: Okay, players. We are going to play the first two rounds and then the Big Money Round for today. No $500 Bonus Category Round nor Home Viewer Game. Let's take a look at our wheel.

Jon: And here is our first puzzle of the day. Freddie?

Freddie: The category is Things. More than one thing.

Jon: This puzzle has a hypehn in it. Philbert will show you that.

Isiah: Thanks, Jon.

Jon: Well, Allison. Come on down!

[He and Allison go to the Bonus Round where Philbert [holding a tray of envelopes] awaits]

Philbert: That was a great comeback, Allison.

Jon: Okay, Allison. You know what Philbert has in his hands. A tray of envelopes. Pick an envelope, solve the puzzle, increase your winnings by a multiplier, and earn a shot at a brand new car.

[Allison chooses an envelope off the tray]

Philbert: Good luck, Allison. [leaves]

Jon: Let's work on this puzzle together. Freddie?

Freddie: The category is Thing.

[_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _]

Jon: R-S-T-L-N-E.

[_ _ S _ _ L _ N _ T _]

Jon:  Okay, Allison. Give us three consonants and one vowel.

Allison: C-P-D-O.

Jon: Well...

[_ _ S C _ L _ N _ T _]

Jon: That is all you're gonna get. We're gonna give you ten seconds to figure out this puzzle.

[The timer is set at ten seconds]

Jon: Use the used letter board if you have to. Talk it out. Good luck.

[Allison stutters]

Allison: I don't know!

[BUZZER!] (time's up)

Jon: Puzzles this small can be tough though. What was it?

[MASCULINITY]

[Audience groans]

Jon: Masculinity is what we're looking for. Now, we have to look in here for the record. [opens the envelope to reveal...] And you could have doubled your money. But, Allison, you ended up with $5,250. Not bad for a day's work.

Allison: Thank you.

Jon: Thank you for playing on our show. [to the camera] Well, stay tuned cause your local Public Television Station's pledge beak is coming up.

Freddie: Please donate to this station. Go public!

Jon: That's right. For Freddie, Philbert, and the mighty Quoone, this is Jonathan Mann saying "Keep on spinnin' and solvin'." And Freddie?

Freddie: Yes?

Jon: Let's go over to your house and have some green eggs and ham.

Freddie: You will love them "Jon I Am."

[Laughter!]

All: See ya!

[Applause]
