Layla: Tonight...

Sora: An ACME Summer Movie!

[Apartment of Jonathan Mann, 4:33pm]

[A home robot walks around the living room]

Robot: Dissasmbled. Reassembled.

Jon: Hi there. Welcome to the ACME Summer Movie. Freddie is out grabbing some pizza. But this robot of mine is pouring some cola for us.

[The robot pours cola in Jon and Freddie's glass]

Robot: Glass. Ice. Cola. [hands the glass to Jon] Here you go, Mr. Mann.

Jon: Thank you, Robot. You know, this is a home robot. A home robot is a famous machine which can help you do chores, give you glasses of drinks, or even dance to the music. Sometimes robots can communicate with humans or more rarely flee away.

[The robot moves to the bathroom]

Jon: That reminds me of tonight's movie: Short Circuit.



Jon: How a robot of a group of experimental robots in a lab is electrocuted, suddenly becomes intelligent, and escapes only to befriended by a woman. It stars Ally Sheedy, Steve Guttenberg, Fisher Stevens, and Tim Blaney as the voice of the title character. 

[Suddenly, Freddie enters the apartment]

Freddie: Pizza's here!

Jon: Oh, thank you Freddie. Why don't you set the pizza down and watch Short Circuit with me. 

Freddie: [sets the pizza down] Oh, the robot just gave me my soda.

Jon: Mmm-hmm. [to the viewers] And for you, watch in a brightly-lit room, and not sit too close to your monitor.

Freddie: [grabs his glass] Cheers. [clinks the glass of soda]
