ACME Wheel - Episode 35

Rated TV-PG (CC)

All: WHEEL...OF...FORTUNE!

Philbert: The famous wheel is spinning your way towards thousands of dollars in cash! And now from the ACME Studios in New York, here are the stars of our show, my son, Freddie!

Freddie: [enters HQ] YEAH!

Philbert: And Jonathan Mann!

[Jon and Freddie enter HQ]

Freddie: WHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Jon: Yeah! Hi, everybody! Welcome to the show. I can see the leaves beginning to turn yellow and red.

Freddie: We have a game in progress. So Pop, let's meet our players.

[Now to the players]

PhilbertPlayer #1 enjoys basketball and hopes to play in the NBA. From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, meet Kyle Tupper!

She enjoys baton twirling and plays the clarinet. From West Orange, New Jersey, welcome Rebecca Carvo!

[Applause]

Jon: All right, Rebecca and Kyle. Before we go any further, we have a bit of an error we like to announce. On our last show, in the second game of this match Kyle solved the puzzle THUNDERSHOCK BY AC/DC. However, one of our producers alarmed us with the spelling of the word. The correct title is actually THUNDERSTRUCK BY AC/DC. So as we are not going to penalize any of our players for the misspelling of the puzzle, the winner of this tiebreaker round will play the bonus round while the other player will return in a future episode of the show. With that in mind, the match is tied up at one. The banks stand thus: Rebecca you have $2,800, Kyle has $1,175. We are going to go to the tie-breaker round. In a moment, Freddie will give the wheel a spin. I'll ask you for a letter and if it's in the puzzle, you have five seconds to solve it. Vowels are worth nothing, consonants are worth the amount Freddie has spun. Ready, Freddie?

Freddie: [rubs his rear end] I am ready.

Jon: Spin that wheel.

[Freddie spins]

[$25]

Jon: $25 for each consonant we find. Freddie, what's the puzzle?

Freddie: The category is Event.

Jon: There is an apostrophe in the puzzle. Philbert will show you that.

Rebecca: You're welcome.

Jon: Kyle, come with me!

[He and Kyle go to the Bonus Round where Philbert awaits]

Philbert: Hey, Kyle. That was quite a game.

Freddie: That's how we do it on ACME Wheel.

Jon: Right now, let's start a brand new game. Philbert, who's going to spin the wheel?

[Now to the contestants]

Philbert: Player #1 enjoys lawn mowing and is a big fan of tractors. From Staten Island, meet Claude Corcia!

He plays football and ice hockey and hopes to visit Canada. From Brooklyn, meet Jack Pulver!

[Applause]

Jon: Okay, Claude and Jack, welcome to the show. Let's look at our wheel.
