We had a double whammy. First, We lost pop singer Sammy Davis Jr. He was 64 years old. He was best known for doing a cover of "The Candy Man" from the 1971 movie: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Then later, The creator of the Muppets, Jim Henson passed away. He was 53 years old.
